Every dollar donated goes directly to these vital services:
Care kits for children coming into care
In emergency situations, a child may come into the care of the society without their personal hygiene items or necessary clothing. The Care kit contain such items as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, socks, t-shirts, undergarments, hairbrush, etc.
Post secondary bursaries and scholarships
Post-secondary education is a costly endeavour. The Youth-in-Care Education Assistance Fund was created to assist the children in our care who have the desire and ambition to pursue post-secondary education.
Providing summer camp opportunities for children in care
Every child should have the opportunity to experience summer camp. The Children’s Aid Society of Algoma is able to make this happen for our children. Camp McDougal, located on the shores of Lake Huron is the perfect setting for the children to be themselves, have fun, and make new friends.
